What is a YACHT WEEK?
The Yacht Week is a series of yacht organized by European Travel Ventures. You can join solo or with friends chartering a boat. To ensure to get a slot, make sure to book in advance since the number of ships in each route is limited. Also, they control the participant ratio on every trip 50/50 guy/girl.
Once you are registered, you will receive an itinerary of the event that covers everything from exclusive parties, snorkeling escapades, to day trips around nearby islands.
The Yacht Week Locations
The Yacht Week is usually held in six locations Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Italy, Thailand, and the British Virgin Islands and the route is different each year.
If you want to join TYW here are some things that you should know:
TYW IS MORE PARTYING THAN SAILING
The Yacht Week is one big floating festival! So, if you are looking for a peaceful sailing, then The Yacht Week is not for you. The Yacht Week is sailing from place to another place following the routes, but spend a lot of time partying.
DECIDE YOUR YACHT WEEK ROUTE BASED ON PACE
Do some research about The Yacht Week and look for a route and decide the route you want to take. To have an excellent experience make sure to book a route based on the pace.
SKIP SOME OF THE PARTIES AND EXPLORE
As mentioned above The Yacht Week is about partying than sailing. But if you don’t want to miss amazing places on the routes, skip some of the parties and exploring. There are loads of parties, so skipping some of them is okay as long as you explore amazing places and cultures.
You read it right! If you don’t have enough budget, then explore to small trattorias, order some food, or you can buy local produce, get some work in the kitchen. You can save money and be able to taste local dishes. But hey! If your cooking skill is not good, no worries pizza is always available.
SAIL IN JUNE OR SEPTEMBER
Here’s the tip: During these months yachts are cheaper and flights as well.
BE WISE IN CHOOSING WHO YOU BOOK WITH
To ensure excellent yacht week experience, look for someone who can go with the flow and enjoy. Make sure you are on the same page with the adventure you will venture.
